<p>Yeah, don’t ask your professor. They may or may not know the actual answer as to whether or not it is cheating at your school, and asking is a pretty quick way to end up on their watch-list. If you really want their opinion on it ask if they have any old tests you could study off of. </p>
<p>At my school (VT) some professors put theirs up on their website, and the big test-bank website who’s name we can’t say here started at VT. There was a big row about it back in the day but since it isn’t expressly prohibited in the code of conduct it is not considered cheating by the college. It is an EXCELLENT way to study for a test, in my opinion, since even if you learn the bulk of the material if you’re not used to the type of test the professor gives you might not be prepared and end up bombing it. It isn’t a substitute for studying though; it’s only complementary.</p>
