Texas A&M Scholarship Notice

@TXRunningMom

All the Brockman paperwork said was that in the event that the scholarship is cancelled for cause in certain circumstances, such as gross misconduct, the Foundation reserves the right to recover the costs of the scholarship awarded to you go to the time of cancellation.

To everyone else, if your student gets the Brockman, they hit the scholarship lottery. It’s the richest merit scholarship I have come across in two years of researching and evaluating schools and private scholarships.

If your student didn’t apply because of the fifth year, that’s a personal choice but my perspective has always been to always let someone else pay for your education whenever possible so if it came down to adding a fifth year but getting everything covered during those five years, easy decision…especially since the MAS Business program opens more doors and rounds out the non business student. I would have chosen that every time instead of paying for my school just to avoid the fifth year but that’s just me.

@RayTX - good luck to your student on the Brockman.

@gigem105 go to the Brockman website: https://brockmanfoundation.org/brockman-scholars-faqs/

It’s all there.

my OOS daughter also got the Lechner Scholarship awarded. However that is unfortunately not enough for us to waive OOS tuition. I can’t even find one that is 4K though. Which one would she need to get that? Are they done with her? If she got the Lechner, she is out of the race? So confusing…She also got maroon merit which is not being used towards the tuition waiver

“Texas A&M does not stack Academic Scholarships. If you qualify for more than one Academic Scholarship you will receive the highest dollar-value scholarship only.”

Is this new?
