UT is a somewhat unique in that they charge undergraduates a flat tuition/fee schedule based upon the school they are admitted into.

[Tuition Costs : Tuition Dollars & Sense](<a href=“Cost & Tuition Rates - Texas One Stop - University of Texas at Austin”>Cost & Tuition Rates - Texas One Stop - University of Texas at Austin)

UT will bill the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan, a.k.a. Texas Tomorrow Fund, for the number of hours your child is signed up for each semester. All class related fees are included in the hours charged. The separate 8 semesters of fees are not billed, or used for that matter, by UT. So, if your child takes 14 hours, for example, TGTP will deduct the 14 from the total hours you purchased and that’s all. He will have the freedom to take as little as 12 hours, and at most 17 hours.

The only items not covered are optional fees such as the Longhorn sports package and parking.

Be sure your son has contacted the registrar/bursar’s office and given his contract ID information so that they can bill TGTP accordingly.
