<p>Unless the curricula has seriously changed, the add-ons are not a required part of the class for the first year. Generally, the only things on the CD are extra questions to work on, or powerpoints/additional information that you can just as easily find by yourself on the web.</p>
<p>If you want to double check, though, just email your professor and ask if you have to get the package, or if you can just buy the book elsewhere.</p>
