Thanksgiving menu

@pennylane2011: the vegetarian meatloaf does freeze very well and tastes even better according to D…and Oldfort…what did your family think about your cooking  of Thanksgiving dinner?

Thanksgiving went great at my house, other than stress from having certain family members hovering literally RIGHT over my shoulder pretty much all day. The potatoes were phenomenal–I wish I could have snuck some of the few leftovers past TSA, as I flew back to CO early on Black Friday morning.

We were able to have grandpa over for dinner, which was a huge blessing. He has Lewy Body Dementia and has moved to a nursing home in the last 6 weeks or so, and we weren’t sure if he would do well coming over; but he seemed to really enjoy himself. He also told the woman who runs the home when my sister, dad, and I went to see him–“Look, all my grandkids are here!” (My older brother was not there but my sister’s boyfriend was, and it was nice that he at least knew who I was. We were all a little uncertain.)

Oh, and it was about 75-80 degrees the whole time I was home, while it was 30-35 here in CO. Gotta love SoCal.
