Well I had what may be my first brined turkey and it was so moist. This one was from Whole Foods.
My third grilled TG turkey was a brined bird from TJ. Despite a gas tank change midway through the cooking process (see the Reluctant Gourmet link above), the turkey turned our amazingly well. My cats approved!
My apple roses flopped. I tried them using FILO dough as couldn’t find puff pastry. It really is essential. I will try again.
Bookworm, a worker at the local grocery store was trying to convince me that the two doughs are so similar… Nope. I think he was too lazy to go check the back room freezers for puff pastry dough for me. Making more rosettes tomorrow for the thanksgiving after thanksgiving!

The two that “might” be similar, if one really knew pastry, would be pie dough and puff. That’s probably treasonous to some, but you could adapt pie dough just enough to sort of serve the purpose here.
