That test was not bueno

was that choice G?

Did anyone think there was like a typo in the washington dc english section that started with an underlined “indeed”?

For the cone one, I put it looked like a triangle pretty much i think it was D. Good I put no flood and coppers = coins. and for the wright bros. i put the author doesnt believe they should have been afraid of someone stealing their design because it wasnt new or something…

i thought that question had to do about reporters not being able to be trusted? i seriously cant remember that one at all

The test sucked, people were screaming outside, one chick had a seizure during the reading section (screaming at the top of her lungs and *ed all over the floor), then the ambulance came rushing in with a stretcher. Then a bunch of janitors to mop up the *. The proctor was on the phone the entire time, kids were using TI-89s and TI-92s, and the proctor made us switch rooms during the English section because she was having hot flushes and she didnt even stop the clock.

Everyone started laughing at the chick having a seizure (that’s kinda ****ed up in its own right, however I didn’t really care I just wanted to finish the damn reading section)

I AM SO ****ING MAD!!!

Why did you all take the ACT (+ or - writing section) instead of the SAT?

If you report that to ACT, they will give you a free test. one time, i sent ACT a letter that there was a lot of noise outside the door that was distracting and they gave me a free test. they should definitely do that for you. the bad thing is that if they were sections you thought you could’ve done really good on, you will never get them back.

I thought it would be easier. It was, except for science.

Whose bright idea was that.

How do I report it? E-mail? Telephone?

I ask because ACT is trying to establish it’s legitimacy so more and more will take it instead of the SAT. While it was first known for being more a “reasoning” test than the SAT, how long did anyone expect that to last? It’s a business, yes?

So, now less reasoning more details, just like the SAT.

jmo.

Science! ***? English was super easy. Reading wasn’t bad, but the science passage was iffy and I semi-guessed on 2 b/c of time. Math was whatever. But holy crap…the science was terrible. I took a practice and did excellent- as in -1 because of time- but damn. What do you think a -6 or -7 (or maybe even more lol) would be??

I like the SAT better. The math is more logic based. But I like the English on the ACT.

I took the ACT math material in 8th grade, so i don’t remember crap. I had to try to teach myself all of that over again. With the SAT, it IS 90% reasoning (logic.)

Actually, I thought so too. What I remember is there being an unnecessary comma after “Washington D.C.”

It read something like “Washington, D.C.,” and I didn’t think that last comma was necessary, but according to this site ([historyprofessor.org Washington, D.C.: Spelling, Punctuation, and Capitalization](Washington, D.C.: Spelling, Punctuation, and Capitalization | HistoryProfessor.Org)), it is appropriate.

You can e-mail or handwrite. It MUST be done within two weeks of the test.

Do you have the email address?

Do I get a special testing date and location?

Or, do I have to take the June test?

I had 67F as well. This was my first time taking the test, and after the English section, time screwed me over big time. -__________-
Do any of you guys know how the essay factors into the composite score? (does it?)

The essay is not apart of your Composite.

Essay doesn’t factor in composite, you just get a english/writing sccore

@Stanford CS

You need to email them with your complaints. You can get the address off of your admission ticket or you can get the email address online. They should waive your fee, meaning you don’t get a “free” test, they just don’t charge you for this one.

The proctor collected our admission tickets.
