The 800 200 200 method/strategy.

I think sleeping through the other two sections is a very bad strategy as well. You need to be alert and focused for the SAT, and if you doze off for 2/3rds of the exam, you’re just going to be totally drowsy and unfocused for the section you’re trying to get an 800 on. Overall, it’s better to just do your best on all 3 in one testing instead of doing them one by one. Especially if you make silly errors and drop your score by 40-50 points.

^to expand off of this, the SAT is statistically designed to be taken in one sitting by the average testtaker. The ETS did a research project a while back to find out the typical length of time a teenager is able to focus their attention. So it really shouldn’t be a problem :)

You block your scores by test date, not by sub-scores on each SAT. Each SAT you send them, they see the scores for all 3 sections.

This would be an AWESOME strategy if you really entirely believed that colleges actually do just take the superscore and don’t look at how many times you took it or your individual scores. If they really did that, you could just sleep during the other two sections and be superrefreshed and get exactly 800-200-200.
