The AP Art History Thread

Uhm yeah, I did not do as well as I expected. Slide based multiple choice was wayyy harder for me than usual. However, the regular multiple choice was on the easy side, I only skipped two. Then I made some flat out dumb mistakes on the short essay. I made up two artist's names and I probably got two time periods totally wrong. Long essays were not bad, 1st was more BS than the 2nd. Overall I'm thinking 4, but of course, that being said I'll get a 1 or something.

I sort of think I did not that well on the long essays. Maybe very well on the second, but on the first I'm looking at a 6. I couldn't think of examples and once I did, I couldn't remember specifics about them. I suck at that kind of media/type of art. I don't think I had ever done an essay on that before.

We would all be very amazed if you got a 6.

Everything seemed basic and simplistic to me except for the FRQ # 6 ... it was the 2 sculptures. Also, for the last FRQ I spelled an artist's name completely wrong. I called Yasumasa Morimura--> Masumara. LOL. I wonder how much they will deduct because of the name... otherwise everything else was excellent except for #6

i had to take the art history test after the english test so i was already exhausted. they only gave me 2-3 minutes to eat lunch inbetween the two tests too which sucked. the slides at the beginning were ez. the mc were kinda hard and the essays were average for me. i forgot alot of artist names though. grrr o well its over!

They don''t deduct points for wrong names.

^same lol. we had to eat lunch at our testing tables

oh, thanks for that fact :)

yea i didn't think the test was bad at all

like most people said, mc were easy at times and surprising at others

i found the frq and essays really easy, all in all great test.. going for a 5

for frq#6 you didn't need to write the artists name.. so don't worry

rea ftw

I was talking about the 30 minute essays which are scored, I believe, out of 9. I was not talking about the test overall.

Did anyone recognize the statue in the MC section of possibly Charlamagne? it had jewels on it? we were talking about it in class today and none of had seen it before.

wow i just checked and it was Saint Foy... which was one of the choices!

ugh so unexpected :/

I liked the test.
Except two of the open response which I had absolutely wrong.
Oh well, I liked it overall.

i did well on everything except the long essays, which i'm pretty sure were in the 3-5 range lol, not good at all....

test was pretty easy overall
