<p>Picking the nice guy with integrity over the guy everyone else though 'I Should" pick. 25 years later, we live a simple yet happy life…and he still treats me like a princess!</p>
<p>Becoming and being a parent, of course, is far and away the best.</p>
<p>Deciding in my early 40’s that I wasn’t too old to make a major change in my life that was, I believed, necessary for me to have a chance at a reasonably happy life.</p>
<p>To pick something more recent, deciding a couple of years ago to get in touch in “real life” with someone I had just gotten to know on the Internet (different website!), who has now become a close friend – the first one I’ve made in a long time.</p>
<p>Besides parenting?</p>
<p>I stopped working for others over twenty years ago and went into business for myself. I have not made a fortune, but I LOVE being the only one who can fire me.</p>
