Stage six? Silly developed American.

I took the SAT today.

Physics kicked my ass, but math II was easy. How did it go, Yak?

I had an extra writing section, so I know that one of them was equating. I don’t think I’ll really be affected by whichever turns out to be the real one, but I’d prefer it if it was the first one. The essay was mediocre, and I was running out of examples, so I used Mean Girls as one. (I know.) I made a few CR mistakes, but I think I’m still above a 700. I’m confident that I did really well on the math section, but we’ll have to see.

At this point, I’m on the fence about whether or not to re-take it later. We’ll see how I did.

What’s it like to take two subject tests in one day? Is it hard to switch from one to the other?

Physics is basically applied math so it wasn’t so bad. I couldn’t remember a lot of the E&M stuff, or optics since I haven’t taken that since last school year. It was fine, though.

Yeah, that makes sense. Did you take any other subject tests before?

I took U.S. History in May. I’m officially done with standardized testing. Yay!

About the switching subjects thing, I considered taking the Spanish test in my 3rd hour, but I looked at it real quick and my brain was just in a completely different mode of thinking, so I guess it would be tough to take two disparate subjects back to back.

P.S. I know real quick is grammatically incorrect, Canadian.

That’s… so fetch.

I know.

My city is littered with art.

I’m off to explore.

Is it littering if it’s art?

Never use bleach without gloves if you have a paper cut.

I went to Columbus today. My quiz team had a silly little competition (televised) at the science center, and then we proceeded to attend the lamest Obama rally ever. We stole some free pins from the gay table because there were no volunteers there. All the volunteers were creepy. But it was an extremely liberal event, which was cool because I don’t see those in my ultra-conservative area. Then we walked around downtown a little and marveled at big city stuff. Then we took a peak at the Capitol building, did some more marveling, and drove up the road to Caribou Coffee, where I ordered a cappuccino made with espresso. Then we ate supper a few hours later at Max & Erma’s, which sounds dumb, but we don’t have them in my area. Then I came home.

Good luck on your paper cut, snoop.

I wish my town of 500 did awesome art exhibitions like that. But nothing is sleepless in my town. Even during the day, you can walk down Main Street and not see one other person. But you have to take care to not be run over, as Main Street has no sidewalk.

Is it stealing if it’s free?

In the south you don’t walk.

People don’t walk here either. Since I live in a rural area, there is plenty of space for parking lots and whatnot. Whenever new businesses are built, they always have ample parking. So it’s just the accepted practice to drive between two stores that are next door to each other. My parents complain when they have to park 10 parking spaces from the door at Wal-Mart. And yes, Wal-Mart is a necessity because there is literally nowhere else to shop. There isn’t even a Target in my county. I always like going to Target because they have nice stuff. But it’s always like a zoo in there.

Most of my peers would drive from my house to where I work. It’s a block and a half, or about a five minute walk. It takes about 45 seconds to drive it, from the time the car starts until it shuts off. Well, that’s on a good day. The parking lot at my job is basically just a big open area, and there are two businesses in the building, so cars are always just randomly parked everywhere. For the few times I’ve driven my car to work (usually because I came from somewhere other than home), I was glad to have a small car.

I like Walmart. It’s always cold in there.

Does that make me a bad liberal elitist?

I just got home. And I’m exhausted. I’ve been up for 20 hours. 20 hours.

Also, Nuit Blanche was much better last year. They spread everything out way too much this year, and it was annoying. But still cool.

I wonder if I can head up to Toronto next year for that. That would be awesome. If I go to Chicago, it will probably be an impossibility. Maybe some miracle will happen and I’ll find Chicago ridiculously easy and airfare will drop considerably.

My friends and I walked around MIT until 4 A.M., and immediately after waking up at 1, I went to the gym and swam.

Why do I do these things?

What did they do to cc?

It appears to have been renovated. People can now leave “visitor’s comments” on my “profile.”

I am exhausted.

No, I am exhausted.

I am experiencing senior stress and writer’s block.
