<p>I am in the Letters & Sciences school but am undeclared. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do history or not but I think I really do now. </p>
<p>Is there some way I can “declare” it now or what? Is it too early? For some reason, I think I have to declare my major so that I can finish off my GEs related to the major? Does that make sense and does it even work that way?</p>
<p>Are GEs just the sake of being GEs? Youre not getting anything related to your major out of your way are you? I mean…in terms of signing up for classes. I’m confused as to what I should take. </p>

<p>Declaring doesn’t happen until you’ve conpleted whatever requirements you have to do. Anyone who is in L and S isn’t anything until they complete things and apply. </p>
<p>Don’t worry about declaring. Some people just have an idea about what they want to do earlier than others. Sometimes you can use a major class for a breadth or ac requirement. It depends. </p>

<p>I mean, I get the general concept that the general classes are covered but when is it appropriate for me to set out and do what I gotta for my major?</p>
<p>Well, I definitely am confused. I definitely want to take some interesting history courses. As for math and science, yeah, I don’t know…I’m really not sure yet. :(</p>

<p>Yes, they are major specific.</p>
<p>You should incorporate potential majors within your breadth requirements (GE really isn’t the term round these here parts, ma’am <em>tips hat</em>).</p>
<p>Take what you’re interested in with professors you hear are good, and maybe that you might be interested in majoring in or you’ve never been able to take before and always wanted to. Or something like that. </p>

<p>You can declare an intention to major in a particular field, but your declaration of a major is not official until the minimum requirements for declaration are made.</p>
