@OrangeFish That would be interesting to know. D submitted her application this week. Should we reach out to the school to see about how they schedule auditions? Want to make sure we can get it in the schedule…
My DD also got a response from Millikin tonight. We were getting a little worried but she also passed, ? I think she submitted it over 3 weeks ago.
Thank you @3Blessings - she is grateful for the chance to pursue a career doing what she loves! I read from your posts that you have a very talented D going through this crazy process as well! Taking care of all apps and pre-screens by herself in quite an undertaking, and passing 4 of 5 pre-screens thus far is terrific! She sounds like a real “take charge” kind of young lady, which will help her succeed in this very competitive industry. Best of luck to you and your D, but I don’t think she’ll need any luck… she’ll make it happen!
Congratualtions @3Blessings to you and your D! I missed this post as I was writing mine! Wow, so now she’s 5 for 6, that’s AWESOME!!!
Gap year update- D passed 3/5 prescreens this year!! (after not passing ANY last year) All auditions are scheduled now just waiting for unifieds to come!!
@3Blessings Congrats to your daughter. It paid to redo the video.
@mteverlasting Congratulations! Your D must be thrilled! @stagedad311, @3blessings, and anyone else I missed…congrats to your performers’ successes as well!
Thanks to all who answered my question about UCLA!!!This forum is awesome!!! You all are keeping me sane through this crazy process!
@frisbee3 – I would absolutely reach out to the school to get the audition slot nailed down. The worse thing that happens is you will be told you need to wait a little longer.
Thank you @MToverload!! Congratulations on the Millikin pass, as well!! My D and I saw Heathers at Millikin last year, and it was an awesome show, they have some very talented kids!! Break a leg!!
I love hearing this @mteverlasting! Kudos to you and your D for chasing her dream! Savor these victories, you’ve earned them!!
So excited. My D just passed her prescreens for Marymount, although they scheduled her audition for Atlanta. We will have to change that date, though, as she is in a show smack dab in the middle of college audition season. I didn’t want her to take it, but it is a regional production of Mamma Mia and will look good on her resume. And we are heading for NY on Sunday because she and some other MT kids will be on the Today Show on Tuesday. Can’t keep up, but we’re trying…
@BWmama Congratulations - and how exciting for the Today Show! I am going to try to watch next Tuesday now. =D>
@MToverload, Ooh, I like that little emoji. I would need another College Confidential thread to learn how to get those!!! But thank you.
Hi!! I’m been following this thread for a while. Thank you for the good information that you all share here.
My D is also going thru this crazy process this year. For us is being a roller coaster because of late pre screen submission. Today she got her first yes to a prescreen for FSU. We still waiting for the others.
She has a couple of other auditions from no prescreens schools.
@BWmama Congrats on the Marymount prescreen. How exciting about the Today show on Tuesday. Have fun!
@BWmama
Congrats! Which Marymount program?
@caralf1 Welcome and congrats on the FSU prescreen pass!
@NYart15, I believe this one was Theatre Performance and maybe a minor in dance. She has a friend at MM and he helped her on this one. The email only says this:
We are happy to inform you that you have been approved for a regional audition! You are confirmed for your theatre audition on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 9:00 AM. We have you scheduled for the program(s) listed on your application. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to sign-in.
@BWmama
Awesome…break legs!!!
And I just received more detail for the Today Show. This is for the launch of Hugh Jackman’s World Tour. Warren Carlyle and Sara Edwards will be choreographing the number. I am so excited for all of the hard-working MT kids making their dreams come true. It’s going to be an early morning, but the schedule says full cast camera ready onstage at 7:45 and pre record Les Mis Medley at 7:50.
