@CanaDad Yes my daughter applied to Royal Conservatoire ?
@MTMomma13 We submitted to BOCO on September 28 and finally heard back (yes) 2 weeks ago.
@frisbee3 We submitted to Texas State on Oct 11 and are still waiting on prescreen results. Our longest wait so far, with BOCO a close second ?
@2019wolves -
Spoke with someone at TX and they’re sending out decisions this week. It’s a long shot but fingers crossed!
We received a fabulous academic scholarship from MIllkin waiting on prescreen results.
Joining this thread but not sure if this discussion makes me more or less anxious about this crazy process. Mom of a boy here. 7 auditions scheduled so far, but awaiting a few more prescreens and hoping for more auditions.
@brieduck Welcome to sharing in this crazy roller coaster!
D got a Yes from TSU tonight
@frisbee3 - for her prescreen? That is great!
@buggirl74 - YES It was a long wait
how is it going guys? yesterday was quiet so I figured I’d post! We are heading to Penn St. Friday for on-campus auditions. will any other cc’ers be in the house?
Off to WCSU for an on-campus audition on Saturday with D and then the large portion of her auditions will hit us in January/February. She will be busy finishing her Regional Theater shows of Matilda the rest of this month and starting rehearsals for her schools’ Spring Musical, Mary Poppins at the same time as auditioning for colleges. Not sure how our kids do it! I am exhausted just looking at her calendar! Happy Holiday’s everyone and safe travels and best of luck this audition season!
@frisbee3 Hooray for your D! We are still anxiously awaiting TxSt & Otterbein…both should be in today/tomorrow…the pressure…fingers, eyes & toes crossed!
@MTVTmom BAL to your D at WCSU!
@lithpool I’m glad we’re not the only ones who haven’t heard back from TXSt. I’ve been seeing posts that others have, which makes me anxious. We were told audition invitations would go out soon after 12/1 deadline, so do you think it’s a no if we haven’t heard yet?
Still waiting on TXSt, BOCO, & U Mich.
@brieduck I don’t think it’s a no. I’m guessing (& hoping) that they’re going in the order they received them. S submitted his prescreen mid-Nov. That seems like the logical way to do them. Look at them in order of date received, mark them yes/no/maybe & notify the definite yes/no of responses…then leave the maybes til the end & revisit.
@lithpool I would guess the same as you. We are also awaiting TXSt, but did not submit until Nov 20. This one was the last of 16 applications (14 prescreens) and was submitted much later than the others. We have answers on all of the others.
@lithpool That’s what I’m hoping too. I didn’t realize how uber selective this school was initially. I knew it had a fantastic program, but didn’t really internal the numbers. Fingers crossed for both of our kids.
We are also waiting on TX State. I, like many of you, have been assuming the worst because all the notifications have been a yes! If it’s meant to be, it will be. We are waiting on this one and Otterbein.
