Reread your opening post. You give the link for the school newspaper and then conveniently mention we should all check out the police reports. A week later you post “wow, just checked…10 assaults in a month’s time!” and then on the 18th you post another “11 student cars vandalized!” with a link to the article. So, NCSmile, you tell me: why do you always post negatives about the school? Did you put in the link for the opening of the new Weinstein International Center last week? Or a link to the opening of the brand new football stadium? Or the addition to the Robins School of Business? You get my point. No school is perfect, but according to our daughter, UR is pretty close, and she is having a fabulous experience with excellent professors and many, many extracurricular opportunities. She’s headed off to UPenn for Model UN in a few weeks, is active in APO (Service Fraternity), has her own radio show with two others, joined a sorority last year (which she loves), and more. All that and also made the freshman honor society last year. We’re happy. She’s happy. The CDC is working to help her find an internship this summer. It’s all good, and I want prospective students and parents to know that UR is a GREAT place to be, in spite of police reports, vandalism, etc. that unfortunately occurs at ALL schools these days.
