<p>The Crisis Channel is the nation’s first consolidated source of information before, during and after a crisis occurs. The mission of the Crisis Channel is to provide open, immediate and actionable information nationally to aid citizens in crisis preparedness, response and recovery. The Crisis Channel will provide information to assist the public when a natural or manmade disaster occurs.</p>

<p>Eligibility
1.The contest is open to all students between the ages of 14-22.
2.The contest is not open to editors and producers of The Crisis Channel, or any of its affiliates.
3.Individual students may enter as many videos as they would like.
4. Students may submit a contest entry as a group, but it will be up to the group to divide any prize winnings among participants.</p>

<p>We are looking for videos that show how your family or community prepares for an emergency. Some things you might think about are:
What escape plan do you have?
Do you have a kit ready?
Do you have a plan for your pet?
All videos will be shown on our website <a href=“http://www.thecrisischannel.com%5B/url%5D”>www.thecrisischannel.com</a> and facebook page, and the grand prize winner will be chosen by the most likes on facebook. </p>

<p>In addition to the scholarship, all entrants have the chance to have his or her video used as a public service announcement (PSA) on television stations across the United States. </p>

<p>The creative format is open and feel free to use personal testimonies, music, narratives, voice overs, humor or other formats to deliver your messages about disaster preparedness.</p>
