I got married and then…retired. (Just like in the olden days.) I took care of my family…still take care of my family but the needs are evolving. I am partners with one of my kids for some television treatments. I do run a free hostel service for the kids’ friends. And I have been known to puppy sit one certain puppy.

I have been unwell for 7 years. So…I don’t have the strength that I used to have…so I do a nap for 15 minutes everyday.

^With my sleeping pattern, sometime I fall asleep in unexpected situaiton, just gone for few minutes. As long as it is not while I am driving, it is very re-freshing. Had to buy a car specifically with very “hard” feel of the road, cannot use “smooth” riders any more, they put me to sleep, dangerous.

Thanks for the ideas, sseamom. I took classes almost every summer until my kids were in college. Now that they are finished, I may look into doing that again. I never thought about mentoring a young teacher. I’ll have to check into that. I usually tutor and that is the highlight of my week during the summer. Teaching really makes me happy.

Make sure to stay with what makes you happy. It is a very important point in SportsMama post. Happy person makes others around her also happy, misery spreads in the same way. If something does not work, quit. I have tried a new language as it was always my desire. it did not work, which was obvious in the couple of days. I could only remember words that were the same as in languages that I already know (I wonder why… LOL). When I realize that feeling stupid does not make me happy, I quit. Good thing that I did because I started searching for something else, and found it.
