@lgllybroadway, at Ithaca they dance 10 hours a week in classes, and if they are in a show (a musical or a dance show), that goes up to 25-27 hours per week. Also, Ithaca offers an extra pointe class for those who do pointe, which added another hour onto that. In their senior year, it goes up even more b/c they have an extra MT dance class. I assumed (perhaps naively) that ALL the MT programs were 10+ hours/week. So if you’re looking for 8-9 hours/week, I am not sure where you wouldn’t get that (maybe in the non-NSB studios at NYU?).
I know BW has Ballet Bootcamp every morning at 7 or 8 a.m. I think they have to go once a week, but some go every day. And this is on top of their dance classes. @kategrizz would know better than me. But BoCo is definitely known for their dance, and everyone adores Michelle. Pace also has a lot of dance classes and a commercial dance major, but I’m not sure the number of hours the MT kids dance.
