@Silverturtle, I hope not. What if Harvard asked UChicago2016 they wanted to meet with him in person, and they asked him okay on CC you posted to will chop off your dick, here is a chainsaw let me see you do it and if you do welcome to Harvard. OUCH!!!

^ HahahahahAhA

give up my free will?

well maybe s/he just says s/he will commit suicide, but doesn’t actually intend to follow through… but Harvard can’t know that. I wonder what they would do?

I would bake them cookies. :)

911!

10char…

I think I would not eat pizza again for the rest of my life. Tough.

Sell My Kidney, no scratch that sell both kidneys, who needs them when you get a quality education!

I wouldnt do anything to get into Harvard. But I got into Yale on the basis of some HUGE lies! My essay was some crap about how I was so engrossed in a biography of john Adams that I forgot to feed my hamster and it died!

There are no stories about wasting a year to study again for tests like gaokao. It is very rare for a student to be able to wait out a year before retesting. After 18 years, wouldn’t you imagine that they’d try to get a job to avoid feeling unproductive and ashamed? Once the job is settled, college is a much harder reach unfortunately.

Please don’t commit suicide for a ridiculous reason such as college. I’m sure you’d have to kill all your friends before they let you kill yourself. Don’t do it. Find Jesus. :)

Actually there are lots of people in China who would willing to waste another year for the next Gaokao . And this has developed into a new Industry.

@redalgae: I am not sure about other Asian countries, but in Vietnam, if you were born in a mid-class family and fail the “college entrance” exam, your most likely option is to wait another year. This is because unlike in the US, where if you do not get into a “good” and beyond college, junior college is an option, junior colleges in VN are considered for “losers” and their degrees are usually of little value(and the students can’t even be transferred to a U). Meanwhile w/o any degree, the average wages (unless u sing and dance and do exotic things to become famous) for most jobs is well below $100. With inflation and all, u’ll have a worse life than waiting for a year to re-take the test. A U degree is almost exclusively the ticket to a better life. I’d say college is not the ONLY way, but it is the best, most direct way, like the freeway.

Sorry I digress a lot. Now returning to the main topic of this thread, I’ll kiss everyone on the H admission committee, passionately + get a harvard tatoo on my lower back + somehow produce a gigantic copy of my admission letter that can cover my garage door

…not very creative but unsure how i’ll do the last one, perchance i make it in…
