Bon chance mes amis! Patience is a vitue. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. Really, good luck u guys. And yes, I got in.

denied email :(. I live in SoCal btw…

Sidewinder: Did you get a call before you received your email?

@Sidwinder
Can you tell me which country you are from?

And post the acceptance email if you don’t mind :)

I think I’m in. I got an email about two hours ago (3:10, Harvard time) with Financial Aid info congratulating me “once again” that I had been accepted into the class of 2014. The strange thing is that this financial aid letter is the only thing I’ve gotten today, no calls, no other emails, though the email I got seems to indicate I should have gotten something else. I’m hoping it’s not some terrible mistake or something!

Rejected here

My daughter was rejected. Just as well- she would most likely have ended up staying with Yale.

Good luck to those who are waiting- it looks like the first round of emails were mostly rejections, so perhaps those who haven’t heard yet have something to hope for.

Just got home and opened up a rejection email. Great, haha. Unless I get off MIT’s waitlist, it looks like I’ll be going to Berkeley. Good luck to the rest of you!!!

To Joedirt–Have you checked your spam box? Sometimes the mass mailings do not get through. On April 1st, people with hotmail could not receive their admissions emails. Congrats, though, on the admissions and FA!!

First, I want to thank Harvard for the method they chose on the waitlist. I know it is stressful for the students, but I honestly believe they do their best to pick the students that ‘belong’ in Harvard. I think they realize that they could fill the school 3 times over with equally qualified students, and on some level luck and fortune comes into play.

Second, I want to tell my daughter how proud I am of her. Getting in was a very long, long shot. The fact that you were waitlisted only shows that the adcom could clearly see what a wonderful person you are. They had to say “No” to many more people that they had to say “Yes” to, and although you were not admitted, I could not be more proud of you today and every day. It has been such a wonderful ride, and I am so glad I got to share it with you.

To the others rejected: I bet your folks feel the same way…

rejected :(

Ahh, rejected. Penn, here I come.

P.S. See all of you at Harvard grad in a little more than 4 years (or 5 for all you gap-year people). Now I can enjoy the rest of my school year without the suspense of this oppressive WL, lol. I guess this is my last post on CC…

still no word. Is painful?

Has anyone else not heard yet? ***?!?!

Still waiting in so Cal.

Still waiting, as well :)

Robs561 and simplywaiting, where are you located?

A friend from class got his mail, so I doubt it’s geographical…

joedirt, that’s really weird. Hopefully, congrats.

@fauve

Yeah, I’ve checked everything. Archives, junk folder, but still nothing. I called my regional admissions officer to try to get some clarification, but I just got his voicemail! Oh well, things have a few days to pan out.

It seems like they’re being really irregular about notifying people who’ve been accepted this year. Everything from notifying them by mail, to calling them early, to just sending them financial aid stuff instead of a call/acceptance letter. So to those who haven’t heard anything yet, just take it as a good sign.
