noaflora, according to qizixite’s last post:

Then today I think we’ve heard of two acceptances (one earlier call that was verified by email and one email acceptance), so that would put the total acceptances at possibly 6.

I haven’t kept count of the rejections today.

And the following have indicated that they are still waiting for an email:
HHopeful2
Dan92
Bell9079
Robs561
Turgond
Noaflora
FenwayLover
For a total of 7.

I’m still waiting as well. My superstition intuition told me not to post until I got an answer, but I guess I’ll let that go so that people don’t think I’m a ■■■■■ if I get the unlikely and much hoped for call/email.

@HurtLocker: i was told its for those schools but there are also other reasons you could be kept waiting. i have no idea if it is exclusive to prep schools all i knew was that those schools would be kept waiting. that doesnt mean everyone kept waiting goes to those schools.

Bell9079: When I called the admission office just after 4pm today, I was told that emails would be sent out in batches between 4pm and 9pm. So, if that is true, we still have another 52 minutes.

This is from Harvard Admissions’ website a few minutes ago:

"Harvard College Waiting-List Update
Late this week, Harvard College offered admission to a small number of students on its waiting list. Individuals who have not received official notice of an action on their application still are under active consideration. The Admissions Committee will complete its deliberations no later than July 1, 2010.

We very much appreciate the interest shown by all candidates who decided to remain on Harvard’s waiting-list this year."

From Qizixite’s list (old one had 106 WL), 26 have indicated rejection–from what I read of their posts, these are very warm, caring, funny people going to do great things at great schools.

Well, given the update that Neapolitan provided, I think we can start a new waitlist. In last years thread, it was called the “extended waitlist.”
