Unless you just like the look of a backsplash/tile above a vanity sink, I don’t see a need for it, especially in a less-used bath. We don’t have a backsplash behind either of our much-used cabin vanities, no issues. I like the clean line against the wall.

If you do want tile, try a tile store, not just HD. The vanity is so pretty, I’d just want paint or a beautiful marble/ porcelain backsplash

We also don’t have a backsplash behind our vanity in any of the bathrooms we re-did in the house. I also like the cleaner look.

I rarely see any splashes on the backsplash in our bathroom even though my husband likes to splash water like a raccoon in a swamp! All water lands in front of the sink for most part. So I’d skip it. That said, I’d tile the wall like it is shown in the HD linked pictures.

If desired not to leave wall “blank “ aren’t there sheets you can purchase with tile-look but not actual grout lines? I bet Home Depot has something like this

There’s very little space between the edge of the sink and the wall (narrow vanity) so probably a good idea to protect the wall from splashes. But not enough room for a slab, so we will need some kind of tiles. Perhaps press on as they will be the slimmest, I presume. Still not sure how to coordinate the center and lower sides? We don’t want to tile or cover the entire wall; trying to keep costs down.

We just examined the entire cabinet (it comes in three pieces) and there’s a lot of empty space behind drawers etc. so less storage than would appear. But it does look fine! I told husband our current vanity is filled with stuff that got put there 11 years ago and never touched again so we don’t need as much space.

And I’m happy to report that he took several bags of old newspapers from the garage and moved them into the recycling bin. Guess he decided he was never going to read the articles he missed!

What about doing a big mirror behind the whole vanity?

It comes with its own 36” matching mirror.

Great solution, @momofboiler1 , especially for a small room as the mirror will give the illusion of more space as well as reflect any light that hits it.

Nothing says you have to use that one.

We currently have a full wall mirror, unfortunately corroding around the edges. And a backsplash. I like the look of the included mirror as a change

Even a painted (with a paint suitable for bathrooms) wall will be fine if splashed on a little water. What you really need is a good seal between the edge of the vanity top and the wall so that water won’t seep into that crack. I’d tile the entire wall behind the vanity if I was doing this project.
