Right…which probably means they will get all the scores out on Wednesday…

^ that better happen :I
Or I just might go crazy and drive over there and torch the place

Calling them was of no help. How terrible.

Well…33.75 hours till wed release!

True true… only 33 more hours to waste
I don’t think I’ll be able to concentrate on anything until I get my score =_=;;

A very long 33 hours. D: Jesus… I won’t be able to focus on much either. :/

I just asked what time the scores will be up on Wednesday, and the lady stuttered and muttered “they should be up by 8 o clock at least”. I’m not sure what the hell that means…does she mean 8 in the morning or 8 at night and what does at least mean in this context and why aren’t they up by 12…

^ It’s because they have no idea what they’re doing or they just like messing with us (I’m guessing the latter)

I’m with Rouxbo (on the latter), the guy that I talked to seemed to have no idea what he was talking about.

Honestly… do they hire people off the streets just to mumble nonsense into phones?
Or… maybe they’re outsourcing calls… hmmmm

Have any of you considered that the people working to get the ACT graded also want to enjoy the holidays? I’m sure all of you will know your scores at some point…if the scores were delayed because of ACT, then I’m sure colleges will understand and be happy to accomodate. Look at the big picture. It truly sounds selfish to be so angry/impatient over these scores. If someone got to spend quality time with their family on Christmas Eve, I’d be happy to sacrifice a few days of waiting for scores that I have no power to control. I know it’s stressful waiting (I went through it a few months ago), but it always works out. Consider the circumstances - it’s the holidays!

^It’s the ACT corp’s responsibility to guarantee that scores are out as soon as possible, especially when people are stressing out about submitting it for the Jan 1 deadline. They should prioritize. I’m not sure which they think is more important: getting scores out to thousands of high school students or eating Christmas cookies. We’re not selfish by any standard, we’re just wondering WHY we didn’t get the scores when we were supposed to. And even if what you said was true, they should admit that rather than try to feed us bs when we call them.

get this guy out of here^^^

I’m more annoyed that ACT didn’t at least give out a notice that more scores than usual would be delayed… it would have saved me quite a few hours of refreshing :I
Or, why ACT doesn’t create a better status checker…
OR why ACT can’t answer a simple question when we call them about score statuses

You said your fingers were too fat to hit the refresh button o.o

Yeah. More reason for ACT to make a better status checker >:

CollegeBound,

They had two weeks to grade our test. It’s not like they just receieved the exams on Christmas Eve.

I paid money to get my scores. If I didn’t pay, I wouldn’t be complaining.

Most of us NEED our scores ASAP since we have deadlines a week to 2 weeks away.

If they had to work Christmas Eve to get our scores in on time, so be it. My career goal is to be an ER Physician. Will I have to work on Christmas Eve? Probably. You won’t see me complaning. Many people work Christmas Eve. If McDonalds is open on Christmas Eve, then why can’t ACT corp grade the d*mn exams!

I can’t enjoy my holiday break until I get my scores. If you haven’t realized it, this might make or break getting into all of our first choice universities. Yes we are going to be angry. I stayed up until 1 AM last night waiting on a score that I never received. It makes it worst that they want to LIE to us and INSULT our intelligence. “Oh, well it’s not technically delayed since we have up to 8 weeks to post your scores.” I am positive that my proctor stated that we will have our scores in two weeks unless their was an error (ex. incorrect match number) in which case scores would be delayed for up to eight weeks. If they told me the truth behind the story of why our scores aren’t posted, I wouldn’t be nearly as angry.

So yes, WE ARE ANGRY. Why would you even make a statement like that on this thread?

Also, I don’t want to have to make an excuse to a university on why I can’t get the application requirements in by the deadline. Even if they do allow it (which I don’t think they will if you are applying to a highly selective school), then my application will still be looked down at for being turned in late…and if I don’t get in because ACT corp could not grade my exam in time, I will be very p*ssed.

haha whs2012 do you live in cali? your username has the same abbreviation as my high school.
