The investment..speculation, out right gambling thread

I just pasted in part of the article. This is happening in non-affluent markets too.

Well…if markets work…more apartment buildings will be built to soak up the demand…
Or it will become easier to buy homes.

This shows why QE is no longer effective
If people can’t borrow…who cares what the rates are…

Like I said before, I think it is very bad that home ownership is being taken over by investors. Institutionalized.

As I have written before…my daughter has seen the rent increases first hand.

If you can’t buy a house, you might be able to buy a REIT.

Dstark is spot on, if people can’t borrow, who cares how low rates get…perhaps the same people choosing NOT to invest in the stock market are doing likewise in the housing market…Why play the game…

Real Estate? To protect yourself from rent increases.

You likley would be ahead of the game, if you decided not to purchase a home at the height of the housing frenzy, and rented instead…the days are long over from making ig bucks in housing…gone forever

People need to revert back to a time when your house was your home and not your retirment vehicle…

80,000 jobs added ,very ugly…Goldman Sachs had 75k until yesterday, and with the release of ADP report chnaged it to 125k…stupid lemmings…the charade is being exposed…The experts are experts at being experts, and nothing more or less

Antares up nearly 10% in a bad tape…anyone speculate on this?

No…don’t know the company…Except for what you posted…so…I don’t know the company…

Why do you like it?

on huge volume too…blew out 52-week hi…breakout…maybe I’ll jump in if it pedals back a bit

Rumor,innuendo, due diligence is needed…

[Parsing Talk Surrounding Pfizer’s Mystery Drug At Antares - Seeking Alpha](<a href=“Parsing Talk Surrounding Pfizer's Mystery Drug At Antares | Seeking Alpha”>Parsing Talk Surrounding Pfizer's Mystery Drug At Antares | Seeking Alpha)

This may be a great company…

But it reads like a speculation
based on a speculation…based on a speculation…

Shhhhh…ATRS hired oooo and because ATRS hired oooo…this could mean pppp. ATRS
might be working on xxxx…and if they work on xxxx…they might might make yyyy…so better buy and buy soon… I would buy millions of dollars worth if I could afford it…the stock price is going to infinity…

People buy dreams…and maybe the company is real…but I have

enough trouble with
companies with more transparent fundamentals.

This is the second article in two days written from somebody at seeking alpha pushing the stock.

No doubt, and i don’t like it…need to find an exit point for remaining shares…i have been long since below 2, well below;)

I wrote an email to a Wall Street journalist( using journalist lightly), who wrote for CBS Marketwatch…i thought he was pushing stocks to readers, he adamantly denied it in a reply…6 months later he was fired, for pump and dump?..TC is his initials

I don’t know who TC is…but that is ok.

These financial reporters have to get their info from somebody else. They don’t know what is going on…

So…they get info from people who want a story told… Maybe somebody is long a stock and wants it higher…

I also love when somebody in the business is asked, “What are you buying right now?”

Yes…I am going to tell you because I want people to buy the stock before I get a full position on…and push the stock price up so I have to pay a higher price for the stock. Lol

When the news media asks “professionals” what they are buying now…the professionals answer the question with what they already own.

for the same industry, maybe I’ll pick up NSPH instead as spec stock

He knew what was going on…

That’s not what I meant… :)

TJX made an all-time new high today after doing the same yesterday (I bought it on Wednesday of course). It’s up 500% over the last decade. It’s a boring discount clothing retailer. The technical pattern was a bullish flag formation. The fundamental picture is that middle-class folks like to buy expensive products at a 50% or more discount - they are apparently liquidators for brand-name companies - but they can’t advertise the products that they sell. I rolled the money from my Nike holdings to TJX.

What price did you get on Wed?

$43.18. I basically bought the dip - though it dropped further after I bought it. I’ve been stalking it for about a month.
