Nice job by Draghi, last week he would do whatever is necessary, now he is clueless…the real issue is NOBODY can solve this problem in Euorland, China, or here in US…Time heals all, Putting a bandaid, where a tourniquet is needed just slows the blood loss

Well…our stock market is up a few percent since Draghi said his bs.

I guess jawboning will have to do for the next 10 years until things work themselves out.

And I don’t see all this positive budget talk stuff…
Looks like the same bs to me.

Regarding cool innovations:

Nanocomp Technologies of Concord, which spins microscopic carbon nanotubes into yarn and fiber that it turns into clothing, tape and wire, is expanding to Merrimack, where it is about to open a new headquarters.

http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/news/969867-196/nanotech-firm-expanding-from-concord-into-merrimack.html

I’d love to try on a carbon nanotube shirt. I imagine it to be strong, light and thin.

These FB options are size up.

I am shocked how large the bids and offers are.

The FB option market is so much larger than the FB bid and offer in the stock.

[Knight Capital?s Punishment: Free Market Justice at Its Best | Breakout - Yahoo! Finance](<a href=“Knight Capital’s Software Glitch Costs it $440 Million”>Knight Capital’s Software Glitch Costs it $440 Million)

“Knight has been harshly punished for its sins. The company, with $440 million in bad trades, lost 60% of it’s market cap and has been forced go hat-in-hand in search of a cash infusion or acquirer. Less than 24 hours after it’s trading error Knight Capital as it existed on Tuesday has ceased to exist. There isn’t a regulatory body on earth capable of meting out justice with such merciless efficiency.
Markets need outside regulation. Left to their own devices traders will find the weakest participant and steal them blind. There are a million different reasons to be suspicious of equities, traders, banks, the exchanges and the largely impotent regulatory body attempting to police the entire cesspool. Rules are going to be manipulated and abused anywhere there’s competition. There’s a reason regulators exist, just as there’s a reason they test for drugs at the Olympics; people break rules to win.
Don’t trust markets and fear corruption. Knight’s mistake and the fallout is, if anything, evidence of what’s right about the free market; not a reason to be even more afraid.”

Nighty night, knight…

Now I am going to erase this. :)

Senate committee agreed on small business tax cut extension and AMT patch. No clue as to how it will fare in the House but it’s a start.

Erase what?

I can’t tell if you were overly pessimistic in the first place…so you think these compromises are a big deal…or you are a very optimistic person. :)

PhillyFed…You should have subscribed to the thread. ;)

I had no idea that those that subscribe to threads see the deleted posts.

I have to be nicer now. :)

I think that we have a large number of problems that previously looked hopeless for this year. Things are now slightly less hopeless.

I still think that we’re going to crash in September/October.

Some of us even quote the deleted posts from our email.

“I think that we have a large number of problems that previously looked hopeless for this year. Things are now slightly less hopeless.”

:)

I think most of the major issues are going to be put off until next year, when the debt ceiling is approached again.

I acrewed up INTC today. I sold the 26 puts thst expire tomorrow. I thought they looked too high, but I was in a rush, because I was doing my job, ;). Turned out…the options were high, because the stock goes ex-dividend tomorrow. Oops.

Lucky I trade so small these days. :)

“I still think that we’re going to crash in September/October.”

OK…so your long term trades are going to last about a month. Tops. :)

You are selling a little already, aren’t you?

“Some of us even quote the deleted posts from our email.”

Lol

I think l’ll buy tomorrow

A friend just called me and said her brothers advisor at a well known place, thinks the market is going to take a 50% haircut, around Q1 2013… And is suggesting to go strongly into cash…wow

“I think l’ll buy tomorrow”

Well, I guess I bought today. Tomorrow would have been better. :)

50 percent?

I will take the other side.

I don’t see it either, and i am bearish
