My favorite institutions…the banks…

Mine too - I think I’m going to buy some jpm calls tomorrow

:)…

Hopefully it drops a lot tomorrow morning - it did initially after the close but has come back

Jpm is down a buck…50.02.

Market could be crazy tomorrow at the opening and at the close…

Quad witching?

It was down at one point more than 2.5%. Its down 1.92% at 8

I’m going to have a busy day tomorrow at work - almost every call and put I own expires tomorrow.

I am sure your employer would be thrilled to read that. Lol

I did not sell much premium this week.

I have two potential problems, but both are small.

If they all expire, what do you have to do?

Some options may not expire worthless…
This could be a day of big moves in option prices.
So…close out the option before expiration?
If you are short an option, take a chance that it will expire worthless.
Roll into a different option? Which one?
Take the stock?

If you are covered and the option is in the money, are you willing to lose the stock?

All my call options are in the money and I don’t want to own the stock, so I will sell the calls or roll them out to a later date and a higher strike price. I expect all the put options that I sold to expire worthless so I won’t have to do anything with those.

I am short some calls that could be a problem for me because I don’t want to end up short. Right now they are out of the money. But they are close to being in the money.

I am spending too much time watching that position. :)

My only position that I’m somewhat nervous about are the 3/16 VLO 43 puts. It dropped below 43 today and ended at 43.84. I actually want to own this stock again so I might not roll it out if it closes just below 43.

One of the founders of DDD sold half of his shares in the company. Not a lot of confidence in the stock.

Why did vlo have that big move up especially at the end of Jan?

DDD is too scary for me…

Maybe…maybe…i will trade it again in a small way…

My positions just got a bit bungled. It’s not as bad as it sounds: Short BAC 12 calls… oops! (but only on 1/3 of my position in that crap bank).

I was short JPM 50 calls, and as it went past 50 I sold 49.5 puts. So today when the stock dipped to 50.50 I sold 50.50 puts… oops! I might end up a little more long JPM, and less long BAC.

I’ve been long bac for quite a long time. Yesterday I bought some weekly bac calls. I own a small amount of Jpm and hope to add to the position tomorrow. My xlf calls expire tomorrow.

NJres, I must be getting calmer in my old age.

I don’t trade that maniacally anymore. :)
