I was long a lot of 440 puts for nothing that expired on Thursday. Why couldn’t aapl do this drop on Thursday? :)

The AAPL 18 day moving average crossed above the 20 day average. It may be a buy at this point or soon. I’m thinking of selling a put spread.

On the other hand, I have a sell signal on the S&P 500, but I am not sure about that one.

How do you draw those lines in stockcharts?

never mind - I see an annotate on the bottom left of the charts

Annotate is nice but sometimes I want charts longer than three years so I use BigCharts and Microsoft Paint to draw lines. Of course I can’t do Fibs or Forks or other things but I get by.

GOOG looks like a long now.

Goldman downgrades aapl and aapl has its best day in more than a week. I wonder who leaked that downgrade…

BCEagle 91, thanks for that chart…

Tsla is going to have an announcement today that is positive. It is not a secret so if it isn’t positive enough the stock could get hit. I sold a few may 36 puts in my Ira.

I think there is support around that level. If it drops that low I won’t be happy. I don’t think the stock will drop that low and I like the return. Definitely a speculative trade.

On of my friends has been a diehard long TSLA investor for a while. I hope that he’s happy. I’ve made some money on TSLA on the long side but I’m not going to give up profits on a downturn.

TJX position opened on Friday is looking decent. Very modest returns as this is a slow-mover but nice to be in the green from the start.

I heard tjx discussed positively by retail analysts on cnbc last week. I think multiple times. I am sure nothing you don’t know was discussed but they were very positive on tjx.

Apple retraced the drop to the breakdown point (that line in the chart that I posted). Support is now resistance.

I read an article over the weekend about some clothing retailers getting blindsided this winter. Last year, we had a very warm winter and some clothing retailers (notably Dicks) had too much winter clothing in their stores. This year, we had a cold winter and some retailers were caught the other way. I noticed that my local TJX stores had lots of cold weather gear in their stores this past winter and they were completely cleaned out. As idad noticed, they even had Marmot (high-end stuff) gear in their stores. I think that TJX was one of the retailers that actually read weather forecasts. I’m going to add some shares now.

This is the type of day I expected yesterday… buy buy buy! (describing the type of day, not making a recommendation!)

Well NJres, one day off won’t hurt you. We are guessing. I was talking to somebody that works for an artificial intelligence firm. They predict stock prices. They guess better but they still guess.

I did think the market was up more than 1 percent from reading your post.

BCEagle91, I will watch those lines…

I agree with the FM guys that gold is rolling over. I was watching NEM for the past months because I did want to buy some but gold failed to rally back to the Feb highs despite the Cyprus hoopla. Maybe it’ll dip even further down in May.

Support on gold is $1,550.

Was going to buy GOOG this morning but not enough cash available in one account so I bagged it. Oh well.

Bought some more 4/20 spy calls and 4/20 qqq calls

TJX just announced a 26% dividend hike. Nice of them to wait until I bought a few shares this morning.

Nice…that is a big percentage increase…

And doct is mr bull market now…

Bought small shares in GOOG after holding my nose. $813.68. BTW, I tell people never to do this. I could have bought at a lot less this morning. I’m in the green and hoping for a bustout of the $compq triangle. Very strong resistance at 3,270 though.

Good luck with goog…

I am braking rules the last two days…
