I am glad you are alive and well, dstark.
From now on the poor have it bad, very bad.

Thanks for checking in, dstark! We were worried about ya!

Here is a speculative trade idea: ERII

Dstark (or, as my auto correct program keeps calling you, dust ark), thank you so much for giving us an update. That was very kind of you. I was on the point of asking one of the moderators if they have the ability to check up on you!

Is there any way you could see your way clear to turning your PM’s back on, and just check in once in a while?

We’ll miss you, and wish you and your family all the very best.

Good to hear from you, dstark. Great timing to visit Vermont!

Good to hear you’re doing well dstark, it’s good to see you’re doing well. :)

dust ark, that’s good, Hayden. Don’t you love auto correct? I say sarcastically. Can’t stand it!

Anyone buying right now? It seems like the market is going to be incredibly volatile. It seems like a good time to buy something, as long as you can do it before the idiots strike a deal. But if they don’t, it could plunge. You hate to miss out on a big rally, but knowing my luck, I’d buy before a big plunge. Ahh!

Good to hear from you, dstark! Stay in touch.

Coming soon to an Apple store near you - a Burberry iPad and a Burberry iPhone. Just kidding.

[Apple hires Burberry CEO as new retail chief - CNET Mobile](<a href=“Page Not Found (404) - CNET”>Page Not Found (404) - CNET)

Imagine that. Angela Ahrendt could have been the new JCP CEO  instead of just head of retail at APPL. lol.

Just got exercised on 100 TLT short 107.50 calls so now I am flat TLT. (100 shares, so I was short ONE call… LOL Not a big player!!! I was long 200 shares max in this round) so since I am now flat I added up all my buys/sells option premiums (have been selling some puts and calls on my longs) since I bought on 6/19/13. So 4 months later I am flat and my net net P&L including monthly interest is +$4.00, that’s right, four bucks. unreal, but since I bought at 112.10 and got flat at 107.50 I guess I shouldn’t complain.

Well… You did a good job there NJres.

I really have to start paying attention to the markets. Making zero percent doesn 't work well.

I wish the options in mub were more active.

I wrote a year or so ago about a friend that was buying property, fixing them up and reselling them. The plan was to flip 3 homes a year and make something like 20 percent a flip. That would be a heck of a return. What happened was flipping took longer than expected. The first house was flipped on schedule. The second and third are taking a year and more than a year to finish. The returns are 20 percent a year per house, but price appreciation was 20 percent over the last 12 months. So what was really made? Looks like just the appreciation. So what happens when the appreciation nomalizes?

My indicators suggest TLT will go gown and TBT will go up for the new few weeks.

S&P 500 up 23.4% YTD not even including dividends. I am lagging so bad it is sad.
When was it? 97, 98, 99 ? every year the index was up 20, 30%, I thought hedge funds would become obsolete (if an investor could make 25-30% annually without leverage)

Just looking back, from 12/31/98 to 12/31/99 NASDAQ 100 index was up 102%, which of course was near the end of the tech bubble.

I would say that if a flip is taking a year, he’s not doing it right.
His improvements netted him nothing? Definitely not doing it right.

Probably not doing it right.

Also, ran into problems with the town.

Well…not too much chatter here. :)

I bought 100 shares of twtr on the ipo. I tried to buy a lot more. Second trade in 4 months.

I am long gern. :)

Good luck dstark.

Twitter Lockups Expiration: Feb 2014 10M shares, May 2014 386M shares

Well, our friend that invests our Roth for us hit a home run. Bought Palladin labs, which was just taken over by another company and increased 53% in one day, sold it with a 20K profit just for the day.

Wish my stock picking was 1/100th as good in the meager accounts that I trade in.
