<p>my sister goes to berkeley and she’s constantly complaining how there’s a million people and how it’s infested w/ asian over-achievers who will stop at nothing to get into medical school (she’s asian, and majoring in biology)…she’s always encouraging me to go to a small, liberal arts school since i can get attention, whereas at berkeley i’d be a small fish in a big pond…i however find it really weird to be around so few people, and am wondering what good, ranked-schools are there that give you more attention, unlike some of the big-name ivy’s…?</p>
<p>UVA or George Mason U – everyone from highschool that I hate will be there, and the latter is 30 minutes away from home (way too close)!</p>

it’s a great school, but it’s in the middle of nowhere (Charlottesville, ugh!) and too conservative for me…</p>
<p>lol, oh, and anywhere south of the mason-dixon line! there are some great schools down there like Duke or Rice, but northern Virginia is already too conservative for me – I’m sure the stereotype is exaggerated but I can’t stand accents or uber neocons :(</p>

<p>I could never ever ever go to JHU or Chicago or MIT or Cornell. The funniest thing is even though I insisted to my parents that I could never ever go to Cornell they still made me apply.</p>

<p>Rutgers U. because a football player from the area is going there and he beat my team in the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years. i just couldnt cheer for him…haha</p>

<p>Penn State (University Park) bc half my high school goes there so its like going to the 13th grade…with all the same people</p>
<p>ya but atleast theres another 10000 students there…unlike Indiana U of PA where half of my school goes to. its a really good school i would definetly go there if it wasnt like 15 minutes away</p>
