The Mad Hatter essay

“Brunch? What’s Brunch?” “It’s not quite breakfast, it’s not quite lunch, and it comes served with a slice of melon” (Simpsons)

true story: I was reading Young Goodman Brown and thought to myself, “self, don’t you think Nathaniel Hawthorne is a rather attractive name and thus would make Nathaniel Hawthorne himself rather attractive?”

so then, out of curiosity, and because I have no shame, I looked Nathaniel Hawthorne up on Wikipedia for the sole purpose of finding out what he looked like, and I got this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Nathaniel_Hawthorne_old.jpg

silly moustaches aren’t really my thing…so my question was answered.

I thought about somehow writing this into the “pre-tea party” part of the essay, but i didn’t end up doing the mad-hatter prompt, so…oh well :)
