<p>I know Duke was insane this year, but hopefully I’ll get into one good college where I’ll be happy.
Only time will tell, but my attitude is definitely still good. Duke won’t get me down (until after Tuesday, maybe then I’ll be REALLY upset)</p>

<p>yeah i read Duke’s rejection letter and it like moved me… so much more caring then a lot of other rejection letters i have read out there</p>

<p>haha yeah, it was basically: “You are an amazing person who will go to some other college (which you will love more than us) and do outstanding things and live a great life!!!”</p>
<p>lolz, ironically, the acceptance letter was sort of like: “Yay, you got in!..now come visit and pay your enrollment.”</p>
<p>and I totally do, CS!!! Ahhh the good ol’ days…</p>
<p>^But rejection letters are very true in that regard. I didn’t apply to NW or Duke, but congrats and my best wishes for those who did/didn’t.</p>
<p>I found about I got into UChicago yesterday, which is my second choice after Yale if things work out financially. Things are good.</p>

<p>meh, this seems to be a good of place as any to introduce myself because mal77’s thread convinced me that I should probably join the board considering how much I lurk. I’m still waiting for my Yale decision. Unlike you guys, that’s the only “reach” school I applied to this year, and therefore the only decision I’m still waiting on, although I did get accepted to UChicago last year, but then deferred it to go to Spain…I could go on, but I wont :)</p>

<p>really hopin’ for Yale… it’s a bit of a stretch though. Of the nine schools I applied to, it’s my secret dream school, haha…</p>
<p>@hookem: I did the “live the question” essay. Lots of fun tweaking the sentence and answering my own questions. UChicago, Yale, and Stanford definitely took most of my cake for favorite essays.</p>
