Minneapolis is important.

just kidding.

22

Ten cities. Ten.

23

Okay, okay…

Add Frankfurt and Washington D.C., I guessssss.

24

NYC
LA
Miami (I’m biased :))
London
Sydney
Paris
Rome
Tokyo
D.C.
Beijing

Your mom. /* faf */

26

that’s what she said.

27

Ok, that was really immature.

But seriously, the question is very broad. Most important economically? Politically? Sexiest? (Seattle ;))

28

Portland is the hottest city :D

29

Minneapolis is the best city ever.

just kidding.

I think that “top 10” in this case is hard, but there is a good “global city” list, which has:

Well rounded global cities

Very large contribution: London and New York City.
Smaller contribution and with cultural strengths: Los Angeles, Paris and San Francisco.

Incipient global cities: Amsterdam, Boston, Chicago, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Toronto.

Global niche cities - specialised global contributions

Economic: Hong Kong, Singapore, and Tokyo.

Political and social: Brussels, Geneva and Washington, D.C.

I tend to believe, however, that Tokyo should be bumped up to the level of New York and London. There is just NO way that it is not economically and culturally important, unless you ignore its effects on global youth culture.
