The Next Wave...

Really??? That makes me feel better. Why’d they tell you so much info? I thought they liked to NOT tell people what’s going on, haha.

@Nagooya: I have no idea! The lady I got was really, really nice and happy! It’s good though; I feel so much better after having talked to her.

I dunno, they keep saying the status thing doesn’t reflect admissions but it certainly did during the scholarship round, and afterward last week when more people got in. However I have to wonder what is up with all the people that got status updates weeks ago and haven’t received a word from the school in the mail.

I’m going to call her now!

@qzar: My friend got accepted in the scholarship round and all her status said was that it was under review. The next day, she opens up her mailbox and saw the acceptance package.

Well that’s good to hear peonyandocean. Hopefully, that should put many people here at ease.

hahah thats funny that they told people not to listen to what people say hhaha

I’m so glad, reading that makes me feel better. Now I have to just wait and stop checking my status constantly…

Yeah when we were at Explore the Dean of Admissions mentioned CC during the Welcome session. I don’t know if anyone else on here can remember exactly what he said but he was talking about how they were dealing with all of our phone calls and then reading our concerns on CC and it was something along the lines of “but you guys are crazy, and all your theories are wrong”. I was amazed at how many people laughed when he said CC… it seemed like everyone in the room knew about it.

So I’m on the phone with them like right now and they said “most of them have NOT been sent out yet, pay not attention to the status.”

“Pay not attention to the computer.” HAHAHA!

“You will hear within the next two weeks.” AHHHH!!!

“The status is to show if you are missing something.” GOOD!!!

■■■■. YES! This made me HAPPY :D

Wow, I just realized I gave you like a live update of my phone convo!

YAY!

hahah thats so werid everyone i ask at school if they have heard about this site there like never heard of it

asdfghjk; that just made me sooooo happy :)

nagooya, you made my day :)

Lol. Thanks for the update nagooya.

nagooya- Hahaha, your post made me laugh :stuck_out_tongue: And that’s good to hear

Nicole- Yeah, I was telling some classmates stuff about this site and they had no idea what it was

I only know of one person from my school who knows about this place and he only looks at the USC part like I do (and occasionally FSU). I’m sure there are plenty of others I don’t know about it, our school generally has people applying to Ivies and top tier colleges. Generally it seems that the people most interested in getting in to certain schools are the ones that are on here the most. I don’t know what I would have done without this place.

**Last year they stopped updating the status page at this point too if I remember correctly from research. Probably way too much work from this point on.

haahh thanks for the live update haha!!!

yayyy im so exctied most of them have not come out!!!

Dear omnipresent admissions committee:

We sincerely apologize for attempting to understand your mysteries. We noticed a pattern, and regrettably emphasized it a bit too much. But quite frankly you cant blame us. For many of us, USC is our first choice, and the last college we hear from. We are all worried, and a status update was a little glimmer of brilliant hope that the darkness of waiting will soon be over. We’re sitting in limbo, knowing that in the future we will either be ascending into heaven; Happy Isles decorated in cardinal and gold. Or, rejected and end up…well most of our second choices arent guarded by monstrous three headed dogs or surrounded by vile rivers, but it was a good metaphor.

As to how they know, people calling have probobly mentioned it, and its the first hit for a few searches on google, and the aforementioned omnipresence.

I was waiting with a friend today, so I decided to check CC on my phone. She looks over and goes “are you on college confidential??”
I was like… Noo. I’m on…myspace.
