has anyone been accepted today on the decision site?

Accepted

Major: Psychology
GPA: 3.74 transferable
IGETC done
Prereqs: 1 IP, rest were A’s. + 8 psych classes on top.
Essays: Pretty good
EC’s: Very little. 150 hours volunteering at assisted living center.

Initially rejected, but they overlooked a prereq of mine. I received an e-mail today saying my decision has been reversed. I’m in :).

its officially time to party!!!

Nicky!!! wooooooooooooooooooooot!

love you.

YOU CONQUERED!

I applied - I failed.

I called - I conquered. lmao.

I’m so lucky that I called!! Seriously, I would still be rejected had I not called them. Thank God for *** at UCLA admissions. That guy saved me.

emilsinclair: That’s really awesome! The same EXACT thing happened to me with UCSB. Calling is a necessity if you’re (maybe wrongfully) rejected!

@ arcadefire: Absolutely, man! Are you going to be a Bruin??

I thought that I remember you applying to Brown and Cornell as well, right? Or am I way off?? lol.

Well you’re pretty close! The schools I haven’t heard from yet are Brown, Penn, and Berkeley (I didn’t apply to Cornell). Out of my options so far though, I’m definitely going to UCLA. I’d probably go to LA over Berkeley and Penn too.

bump, hopefully for more good news!

whoops posted this in the wrong thread…but 2 days after the housing apps are due, they release your offer.

Transfer students who have met the application and University Statement of Intent to Register deadlines will have offers and contracts available on line on June 3, 2010.

Accepted

Major: Math/Econ
GPA: 3.81 (when I applied)
IGETC done
Prereqs: missing 3 (diff equations, c++, and discrete math)
Essays: my gardener Jose wrote it for me
EC’s: accounting internship in China, volunteer, AGS, nothing special.
Will attend: toss-up between University of Zimbabwe and University of Somalia

Congrats girlyshout, but I must say you’re rather alarming. I’m sure you’ll meet many Joses at UCLA, and they won’t be gardeners.

You give off some pretty foolish vibes, esp. with your lame attempt at jest in “It’s not rape if you yell surprise!” Given UCLA’s recent sexual assaults, perhaps you won’t be taken aback and will be laughing after a perpetrator preludes you with the word surprise. =/

Just my two cents. (I’m not predicting anything. :])

so did everyone who’s ursa changed get in?
what time did your ursa change and what time did you get the letter of acceptance of the official admissions site?
im asking because by ursa changed at midnight and i still dont have an official acceptance.
i hope i didnt get too excited for nothing haha

I was also accepted to UCLA ![]()
GPA: 3.8 UC GPA 3.9
I’ve been working since 13 so the essay just talked about my difficulties in managing school and work. I guess if I had to rate it i would say 8/10.
Major: Econ
does anyone know if once there I can change my major to Bizecon? Also I was intrested in majoring in psychology is this possible? Can someone plaese explain how to go about double majoring. Thanks

@ahurt86

I’m pretty sure that you just need to complete the 4 extra accounting classes and maintain a 3.5 UCLA GPA to declare for business economics. Ask a counselor on how to though.

Accepted

GPA: 3.6+
Major: Pre-history
IGETC: done
Pre-reqs: done

I totally got an e-mail from a club saying congrats on my acceptance before my status was even updated. Congrats to everyone!!

hey everyone~!~ congrats on all your acceptances and really be proud of all your hard work and achievements!!!
I hope to also someday next year be posting an acceptance thread :)

I have a Question Regarding Uc gpa.
All uc courses are transferable to any uc. right? so ucla will base their admission on the requirements at UR uc…right?
thanks!

^ Yes. That’s why there is Assist.org

Anyone apply for housing yet? I don’t know which to choose!

dorm with me! jk.

It’s not rape if you yell surprise.
