<p>There is a pulley of radius R1 and rotational inertia I1. The cord is tied into a loop, which passed the the pulley and a 2nd pulley of radius 2R1 and rotational inertia of 16I1. The axis of the 1st pulley is attached to a motor that rotates at angular speed w1 which in turn causes the larger pulley to rotate. Determine the angular speed w2 or the larger pulley</p>

<p>For the pulley one, I’m not sure but that could be conservation of angular momentum </p>
<p>I don’t know if I understand the problem completely (I just noticed that the motor is not directly tied to it). So the loop goes around the smaller one. Hmmm,</p>

That was harder than any practice test out there. Oh well, besides that I think I did ok. E&M part 2s were straightforward enough.</p>

<p>Mech #2 was ridiculous…seriously what on earth was that (can’t discuss until 48 hrs so I’ll leave it at that).
I did kinda as I was expecting to do…hoping to get a 4.
Also, I hope you all failed so the curve goes low.
Please tell me you all did horrible.</p>
<p>I’m not kidding, they screwed us over. 2008’s test had fairly straightforward problems on it and now we get bombed with crazy stuff like this?

MC was pretty easy
FR #1 - I ran out of time to think about the graphs but think I got all the other points
FR #2 - I actually think I did this problem right.
FR #3 - Short on time on this problem, but I’m sure I atleast got half of the points or so.</p>

MC really straightforward
FR #1 - Not too bad
FR #2 and #3 - ■■■
I started self-studying E/M during Spring Break and ran out of time with learning the magnetism crap so I’ll be really lucky if I get a 3. Hopefully some of my bsing using the equation sheet got some points.</p>

I did horrible on Mechanics, fairly fine on E&M.</p>
<p>100% sure that I’m getting a 4 on E&M,
50% sure that I’m getting a 4 on Mechanics (yea thats how unprepared I was).</p>
<p>Seriously, compare this to the 2007/2008 test.
The problems are pretty crazy, I must say.</p>
<p>Yeah, mechanics MC was slightly ridiculous, and the mech FRQ was absolutely horrendously ridiculous. My entire class (all 5s, literally, on 2 full old practice exams we took in class) agreed that it was the most difficult set of questions we’d ever seen. So for those of you expecting a really nice curve, chances are high everybody else was in the same boat and “failed”.</p>
<p>E&M was standard expected difficulty (if not slightly easier). I still messed it up slightly though, but we’ll see.</p>
<p>Mech was terrible. I really feel like my proctor cut us short on the MC, it went by soooooooo fast. Then theres the frqs which were just stupid. Probably looking at a 4. E&M was easier all around, probably a 5.</p>
<p>Yeah, that was imbalanced.
I just about finished the Mechanics MC on time (random quick logical guesses near the end) and had 10 mins remaining after I finished the E&M MC…</p>
<p>I’m still annoyed at Mechanics # 2.</p>
<p>Yeah, well i just failed my mechanics test. the frqs were SO HARD! I just started writing messages and doodling. The first one was legit but then the second one, *** was that? i think i will be taking the class again in college. :(</p>
