lacrimedellaluna i agree. i woke up three times this morning just to check my scores (two times they hadn’t even been accessible yet!). the ACT guy i called told me to check on the 17th, 22nd, and 24th for scores. here’s to hoping.

Composite: 34

English: 36
Math: 33 (<—stupid mistakes)
Reading: 36
Science: 32

Ive already paid for the dec test so i guess im retaking! hopefully i can raise that math score. sci im not so sure about.

Yeah, same here! I got up early for nothing lol! ahh.
I know I’ll be up early yet again on the 17th…

i got a 35 in math but my subscores were 18, 15, and 17

does that mean that the curve for the math section was really easy this time?

English-25
Math-27
Reading-23
Science-32

I got a 17, 17, 15 and thats a 33. That must mean the jump went from 35 straight to 33. no 34s on math.

The subscores aren’t exactly matched with the number of problems you got wrong.

As in, a “high” 18 15 17 could get a 35 and a “low” 18 15 17 might get a 34.

huh? how does that work?

omg i think i’m gonna be sick…you people sicken me to death. how can you retake when you get a 35!!!

Wait, refreshed the page and now it works:

English: 35
Mathematics: 30
Reading: 32
Science: 35
Composite: 33

Bah, really messed up on the math. 30 on math won’t look good to UC Berkeley Engineering

I was hoping to get ~30-31 on each one because that’s how well I did on the practice tests…but now that I see how well I did on the other sections, I really wish I would have done better on the Math (Since now it seems that I could have gotten a LOT higher score than I expected; I was thinking I’d get 30/31 composite MAX before…I guess I’m just being selfish).

Lollipop – Take this example.

Someone missed one from the first subscore, one from the second, and none on the third. Assume that’s a 17 17 18, and assume missing two questions gives someone a 35.

Someone else may have missed two from the first subscore, two from the second, and none on the third, which could also be a 17 17 18. This person got four wrong, though, so they might get a 34.

Hypothetical situation, but that’s why I’m pretty sure it’s still possible that there were Math 34s, even if a one point difference in your subscore total meant a two point difference in your cummulative.

scratches head

i dont understand the curve system…maybe i shouldnt even try to…

Math 31
Reading 32
English 34
Science 36
Composite 33

If one of my subsections was one point higher, I would have a 34. I NEED a 34 due to comparatively crappy grades (3.7 GPA at an intese school). I got a 33 on reading the first time, and it dropped, sending me into the realm of the high 33. Man…

Well, I wasn’t trying to explain the curve, either. I was just attempting to show you how your subscore could be different from someone’s by a total of 1 even if your composite scores were off by 2.

damn…

September test:

Comp:30
English: 30
Math: 31
Reading:31
Science:29

October test:

Comp: 30
English: 33
Math: 28
Reading: 31
Science: 29

Damn math let me down. I was counting on a 31…

I’m not thrilled, but I’m not unhappy either… I’m satisfied. I got the same composite as last time: 32

English 33, -2 from last time
Math 33, +1 from last time
Reading 34, +1 from last time
Science 28, +2 from last time (yes, that means I got a 26 in the science last time, don’t laugh)

It’s a shame that you can improve in three sections and not increase your composite score if the fourth section goes down a little. It’s funny, with the exception of the science section, my scores aren’t THAT far behind everyone else’s (one or two points)… Too bad I’m such a science-idiot…

30 English +6
26 Math +2
33 Reading +1
24 Science -3 ![]()
overall: 28 +1

Composite-34 +3
English-35 +6
Math-35 +6
Reading-29 -5…wow. I guess I can attribute it to the fact that I didn’t finish.
Science-35 +3

I’m very pleased with my scores, considering they were way better than my SAT ones. Even though my reading score was bad in comparison to my last one…

Wow, guys, very nice scores.

Wow…so lopsided.

Math - 20 (Oh my God, no clue what went wrong)
Reading - 36 (o_O?!?!)
Science - 28
English - 28

Comp. - 28
