Sorry to hear that Jobe. What did your status and stuff say?

i applied for production. and i received acceptance to USC CAS back in january so my status has not changed since then.

TrojanTransfer?,
I agree with you. USC’s Writing for Screen and Television program is a little different, and more selective that the other SCA Programs. The average total of those accepted is about twenty-six. Anyone can apply, with little or no experience, and we had to have our admissions packages in before everyone else, seeing as how they were so large. There are also no spring admissions into this program. That being said, has any(transfer or incoming freshman) from the WRITING Program received a letter or interview? With 24-26 spots, it seems ridiculous that they’d wait to review transfers (another several thousand applicants and God knows how many writing samples) two months after freshmen. My application has been in review since 12/23, and I’m itching with anxiety right now.

no mail today…

: /

Well, not today for me either. Perhaps Monday…

One of my classmates who applied to Production just called me crying because she got accepted to the university. No word from SCA for her yet, though.

Still nothing in my box :[

unefemme- She could figure out if she got into SCA or not by checking what major she was accepted into on her acceptance letter. If it says undecided, thats not so good news about SCA, but if it says SCA… then shes into Production.

Btw, do you happen to know what her status/date says?

Thanks and good luck everyone!

My friend who got in has that same status thing. And two others that heard back yesterday. I think that its officially legit that if thats on your page then you are in.

Do any production people have that link?

EDYE28–
I got a status change on 3/16, the “in review” bit, which kinda worries me because most people got later updates, then the second update and all that… I don’t have the OASIS link, of course, no mail, nothing. Guess we’ll have to wait til Monday…

I got the link today.

For transfers, the number of spots open is based on 2012, not 2013. But I do think that those apps are probably in review at least. Some people were actually notified about missing stuff, so they had to have at least taken a look at them.

luckygirl1791,

Are you applying for the Writing Program? Are you enrolled in school, and if so, did you have to give them your spring grades? Lastly, are you a transfer, or a incoming freshman? I’m trying to convince myself that the reason I received no update since 12/23 is because I’m not a freshman, and I’m not currently enrolled. Oh, and if you have a USC ID #, did your application online, or applied for aid, you should have an OASIS link.

Yup. Yes, I’m currently enrolled and they asked for spring grades maybe in early February/late January, because I remember having a “we’ve got your grades” update on 2/3. So I’m an incoming freshman.
That could be the case…your application was probably in a different pile, processed first maybe? But the update thing doesn’t matter sometimes–some people have gotten in without a recent update.
Oh, by the OASIS link I mean that “Click here to view any missing documents” or whatever it says–apparently it’s a trend for acceptance. It appears under your “Click here to submit mid-year grades” link usually the day you receive an acceptance packet.

KOHR: When she called, I asked if she heard anything from SCA, she said the letter was only to the university, with no mention of SCA.

I’ll ask more specifically, and about the status, tomorrow at school.

According to posts on Facebook these students heard the end of the week.

Three students from southern California high schools were admitted: Screenwriting, (2) Animation (1).

man… they are really holding out on production. not very many people who applied to SCA have even heard anything… :S

hopefully production comes in this week!
: )

i want in sooo bad!

If it went out during my last update (thursday) then according to usps it’ll be in my box tomorrow.

Roar, where are you located?
