The Official UCB Fall of 2014 Decisions Thread

7 pre-reqs, zero offered at my school or any of the 3 CC’s that’s within driving distance.

On assist.org (articulation site) it does indicate:
By the end of the spring term preceding fall enrollment at Berkeley,
you must complete: 1) The L&S Requirements in Reading & Composition, Quantitative Reasoning, and
Foreign Language; OR
2) IGETC

I have IGETC completed, and taken numerous semseters of foreign langauges(Chinese and Japanese, Spanish); so I’m assuming I’m doing ok in terms of its requirements outside of major prep courses.

I appreciate the feedback, by the way @lindyk8

Every once in a while there are those whacky majors :-B :)) that don’t have any articulations. You seem like you’re positioned nicely, @darren808‌ .

How’s everyone doing.
I got a new question for ya’ll.

How does UCLA or UC Berkeley look at a non-major pass/ no pass in transfer transcript?

@darren808‌

I’m not sure, but I haven’t heard about them looking down upon taking classes pass/no pass.

If it’s non-major it shouldn’t be a prob.

Did anyone (particularly someone w/ a science major) get accepted without finishing IGETC?

With science they usually tell you not to complete IGETC, although there may be some exceptions (don’t know your actual major). Check on assist.org for your major and see what it says.

Anyone else here planning on transferring as a Political Science major? Any thoughts on this department?

Is the one semester rule to petition in for a major only for impacted majors? If I wanted to double major could I petition in the second semester?
