<p>I just thought of something which could be horrible. What if, we get accepted (when we check online)…then we tell everybody, buy a Yale sweatshirt, and cry for joy for two days…then the actual letter in the mail comes, and we find out the online notification was wrong??? That would kill me! Has this happened before for Yale?</p>
<p>It’s never happened for Yale. It’s happened for other schools, but was quickly corrected.</p>
<p>Don’t spend too much time stressing about it. It’s very unlikely.</p>

i think its interesting that if we were the admissions committee only 2 people would have been admitted. 2 of 23 is less than 10%…
the numbers for each person add up differently because some people left blanks for people they didnt have enough info about.</p>

<p>interesting results. It might be a little to number driven tho. It seems that people with higher numbers got better preditions.</p>
<p>How are decisions actually made? I was under the impression that they were decided by the majority. In that case, wouldn’t 8 have been admitted?</p>
<p>Well, we reiterated that the two surefire acceptances will get in…but did we really do anything else? I guess it was silly of us to try and make predictions with such limited information.</p>

<p>hey, was there a misalignment of numbers or something? im not talking about myself, i like mine, but dtown?? like according to the information he gave, theres absoutely no reason he should have 7 deferrals and a defer/rejection. I don’t get it. was something else revealed, like how hes a serial killer or something? lol i thought hed be one of the top people ranked. And displaced new yorker too, id say he has a pretty good resume! and hes still got 1500s too. Interesting to read this though.</p>
<p>I think dtown was ranked as such because of his freshman year gpa. In an admissions video for amherst posted a while back, the adcom voted to reject an outstanding student for a “bad transcript” or 3 B’s, I think it was.</p>
