@Mary13 Not to hijack this thread, but I wanted to let you know I finished “North and South” yesterday, just in time for my RL Book Club discussion. I won’t say I’m a super fan of the book, but overall the story did outweigh the “slog factor.” The end was predictable, but who doesn’t love a happy ending? I may track down the BBC mini-series.
