Thanks, emilybee. I do that at work where I have two displays and can stream on one monitor and work on the other. I’m a desktop person at home as well and it just isn’t as comfy as sitting on the sofa to watch. I need one of the set ups to stream stuff to the tv. Just whiny here!

I can relate! Way back in the olden days, before TC, before live streaming, and when matches were routinely showed tape delayed, I used to have to sit for hours at my desk top (which was dial up!) in a chat room for my favorite player to follow matches. Who ever was in the country where it was being shown live would call the match. During Davis Cup it would be a whole weekend - usually in the middle of the night my time. H thought I had lost my mind!

But I made tons of like minded friends and we would meet up at tournaments all over the world. We are still friend’s today - even though our player retired at the end of 2001!

snoozers so far today.

Hoping Jo will make it more interesting.

Thank you Katya.

Very disappointed in Jo. Was a mental midget, today.

I watched most of the Eugenie Bouchard match instead of most of the Murray match; although, I thought Murray played great…

Bouchard lost. Doesn’t matter. I hope I am not too old to say Eugenie Bouchard is Super Hot! ;)

^ Ugh. The Ice Princess? Really?

I am so glad she lost. All the hype is nauseating. The comms are so up her skirt they couldn’t even be bothered getting Katya’s country correct.

And her classless handshake at the end - just no.

Yeah… She is stunning…

Ask your husband. :)

She is young… She needs to get a little better…

She doesn’t do it for him. He likes Maria, Ana and Camila Giorgi - but only because she is Jewish and Italian.

D has tickets for the evening session on Wednesday. I’m guessing that she’s going to see Djokovic-Murray, which she and her boyfriend will love. Unfortunately, she’ll probably have to see Serena in the opener that night. That’s been the one person she hoped to not see since she got the tickets for her birthday back in June. There is no one our family detests more than Serena. If Chrissie doesn’t stop gushing over how Serena and Roger need to join her in the 18 club (which she’s been doing since earlier this year), I may turn on her entirely.

I hear you, 2VU!

Maybe they’ll play Serena 2nd up and your D can leave after Murray/Djoker. Unlikely, but one can hope!

I do not care for Chrissie’s commentary at all. Ugh! I think Bouchard is very cute. Interesting that she has a fraternal twin. I think Ana is stunning and very classy. Definitely one of my favorites. I never really liked Wozniaki, but after all she has gone through I really like her now.

I thought they are identical twins. Did you read the article in last Sunday’s NYT Mag? They put her on the cover! WTA PR working overtime.

Chrissie is awful. Only comm I really like is Killer.

Wee Aleks is quite impressive! Possible big upset in the making - even though Vika has been injured.

I was very impressed with Bencic, too. Hoping she will become the real “new face” of women’s tennis.

I’ve always liked Caroline. I tend to like the girls who are sweet (like Kim) and are well liked in the locker room.

Emilybee, a friend of mine went to an Indian Wells tournament. He was working out in a gym when Maria walked in and worked out. He said she was the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

Ana is stunning. I dont know Camila. I will have to look her up.

2VU069, wow…your daughter is going to have a great time. What a present! Why not see Serena? She is one of the best players of all time.

Oh… And Bouchard is very good looking. She just is… ;)

dstark, it’s not her abilities that we find distasteful. It’s her behavior, particularly how she has never apologized (as far as I know) for her treatment of the line judge in the Open final against Clijsters. She’s her own biggest fan.

As for D’s tickets. They were a birthday present from her dad. They are in the nosebleed section, but she has heard if you tip, you can get down closer? Open experts, can you verify if that’s true?

^ Not anymore. Used to be all the time you could tip and get down. For years I even had my own guy, Frank. They cleaned house several years ago.

She can go to the ticket window and see if she can exchange for better seats but they would cost a lot more and it’s unlikely, but worth a try.

Ashe is just the worst tennis stadium in the world. Even on court side seats you are very far away from the court. I don’t bother anymore even going into Ashe, and this year we sold our labor day series tkts in Ashe and got LA seats for last week. They should tear the whole thing down and start over, imo.

I dont like to judge the players too much. To get where they are, they have to be super super competitive. It is not a feature I personally like in a person. :)

I noticed that shortly after Caroline was dumped, Caroline was seen at a Miami Heat basketball game … With Serena.

I would guess that Serena can be difficult… But I bet she has good qualities too.

If you dont like her…you dont like her. My wife doesnt like the way Serena plays tennis. :)

You can be competitive and still be a nice, friendly person off court.

Serena and Caroline are good friends.

I don’t like her personality on court or her tennis.

There are a lot of boring tennis players I don’t like either .Raonic, for instance. He’s like watching paint dry. Plus he has the awful hair factor.

It’s a very personality driven sport - in terms of which players fans like or dislike. Much different than in a team sport.

ps - wee Serb needs to put drop shot back in the bag.

Vika was just awful. Ugly win.

Her singing was worse than her tennis, IMO. I guess she doesn’t know that “Happy Birthday” is now copyrighted and I guess ESPN will have to pay the fee for her performance.

That was pretty awful. She needs to keep her day job, for sure.
