Spectacular tennis from Kei two days running…wow!

So glad he beat NK! I wouldn’t have been able to watch the final otherwise.

^ Ha ha. I would’ve been rooting for Nole. Sad really, Kyrgios is uber talented, just without any type of mature adult guidance. Ben Rothenberg of the NYT wrote that there is a “meal-tickety vibe” inside the Krygios entourage, which is exactly the impression one gets from the outside.

Vika looks really good.

Nice win by Vika. Long time since someone doubled.

Also, good to see her back at the top of women’s tennis. Now if she would only stop shrieking!

Time to get dirty on the clay! I didn’t have a chance to watch anything from MC yesterday but watching Simon/Dimi now. Should be a good one. Saw that Theim pulled out a nice win yesterday after losing first set 1-6. He is in Rafa’s side of the draw so should very interesting if they both make it through to play each other.

Not on ESPN and no tennis channel for me…bummer

Boo. Have you looked into Tennis Channel Plus? I think it’s something like $70/yr for a subscription.

Murray just lost the 2nd set to Herbert but just broke to go ahead 3-1 in 3rd. This was actually several hours ago but I’m not waking up at 4:30am to watch live - so I’m always behind when they are playing in Europe.

Fairly routine win by Rog over GGL for first match back in months. 6-3, 6-4.

Well well well…! How about Vesely?!

@emilybee thanks for the tip - I usually watch ESPN on my ipad anyway while I’m working. $90/year, not bad…

Not an expected result!

I see I’m late to the party but well played Jiri!!!

I dreamt last night Rafa won RG. When I asked a bunch of people they told me Djoker had but then Rafa came strolling out, laughing - and told me they were only joking. Then Rafa and I went off to see Springsteen play in a really small club to celebrate but never quite made it there. Then I woke up. :frowning:

Perhaps this is a good place to post an item that has drawn only one response all week in another forum on College Confidential! Interested in exploring good northeastern (Mid-Atlantic/ New England: Ohio and east, D.C. and north) liberal arts colleges that offer either club tennis or intramural tennis (men’s or coed). This info is not always available info on colleges’ websites. Can anyone please share the names of some colleges that do so?

I want that dream LOL

@TheGreyKing tennis is popular here in the northeast, all but the tiniest schools would have an intramural team. My son doesn’t play so I’m not sure about men, but speaking for myself, all of the colleges in eastern Pennsylvania had intramural tennis.

@TheGreyKing, Googled and found this: http://www.tennisoncampus.com/collegeclubtennisteams.htm

@Snowdog, I haven’t had a tennis dream in ages and this one was actually on the mild side in comparison. I still have vidid recollection of one with Juan Carlos Ferrero that involved a shower and a few really good Pat ones!

Thank you.

emily, any nightmares involving Djokovic?

@Alexandre, it was a nightmare when I thought Djoker won RG - until Rafa came out laughing.

Ha ha ha I’m cracking up here @emilybee

Nice win for Rafa today!!

Hehe! Well emilybee, this RG should be very interesting. No matter what the “experts” say, there is no favorite to win it. When Nadal was in his prime, it was clear. This year, I would say any of the top 5 seeds has a shot, and younger players like Thiem and Goffin will keep things interesting.

That being said, I am glad that Djokovic lost. He needed to reset the clock and relax a little. I did not feel comfortable with his long win streak (undefeated since Cincinnati, WTF round robin loss to Federer and Dubai retirement notwithstanding. The law of averages was bound to catch up to him, and Monte Carlo was the best place for it to happen. He can now relax for three weeks before Madrid.
