The Therapist Next Door - NY Times Gift link

The article mentions embedded therapy programs at Santa Clara University, Virginia Tech, CU Boulder, Iowa State, Ohio State University, and the University of Arizona. I love this concept of meeting students literally where they are. Increased accessibility to mental health help for all students when and where they need it (while simultaneously reducing stigma), increased support for the resident assistants, probably impacts student happiness on campus and student retention - this just seems like a common sense win all around. Sharing for families/students/parents compiling their college lists - an important aspect of college services to ask about in tours or while researching schools.

This is one of the things we liked about the program at Boulder my C26 is interested in. As an ADHD student it will be important to have things like executive function support, and the department has one such embedded person, I don’t remember the term they used (I don’t think it was therapist), but there for various supports including mental health and EF.
