The water bottle trend?

I generally only take a water bottle with me if I am bicycling, or sometimes if I am driving long distances (more than an hour). In these cases, I buy the most solidly constructed and appropriately sized “single use bottle” that I can find, Then I refill it, and keep rinsing it out and refilling it for a few years. Every two or three years I get a new one.

I expect that reusing a single use bottle many times over two or three years does indeed say something about me.

I have a large Swell bottle I take in the car if I drive somewhere to walk/run. I also have a hand held water bottle to take on runs in hot weather (another reason I would rather run in cooler weather). I also have a silicone fold able water bottle I take for travel.

Like @abasket - I am not a huge water drinker. But I am trying to drink more lately.

I might have that same copper color hydroflask. I love the look and feel of that bottle. It fits in both the center console and also the door of my car. My previous favorite was a purple Hydroflask which I still have. Before I switched to Hydroflask I used a metal Kleen Kanteen bottle. I have a cupboard full of water bottles. I need to get rid of most of them as how many do you need.
My daughter was a Yeti fan but now uses a Stanley. Other daughter is a Hydroflask fan.
I bring a water bottle when I go to the gym. They have refill stations. I also bring it in the car but don’t carry it. My husband makes fun of me that I need my water bottle for even a 15 minute drive.

Wait, Yetis count?! We use Yeti tumblers to keep our gin and tonics icy cold. They don’t fit in the cup holder, though.

Hey, I don’t want to be a “party pooper” here, but alcohol has a dehydrating effect on the body, especially when a person consumes it in large quantities.

I only use/carry a reusable water bottle when I’m working out at the gym, biking, work or at home. Otherwise, I don’t carry it anywhere.

I have 2 of those! Where do I sell them??

My coffee one doesn’t have a handle like yours. Wish it did!

Not sure where that one posted was listed but if you look on ebay there are tons of them for much less - maybe the one above is special somehow???

lol, my daughter says she’s selling ours too. Alas, I think the Etsy seller in my post isn’t going to have much luck, since after further investigation, the going price on EBay is about $20.

Same here. My D24 wanted a hydroflask. I complained about the cost but she is still using it 5 years later. Of course it has a lot of dings from accidentally dropping it on pavement and rolling down a hill

I went to my Target to see about those Stanley’s. Of course they were sold out and the colors they did have were $49. I am too cheap so I found a knock off at Marshalls. I do like the shape with the smaller bottom and handle. Perfect for the car cup holder and keeps ice all day.

or you could get a Harry Potter one!

Everyone probably knows this but TJ, HomeGoods, Sierra Trading Post have oodles of water bottles and especially STP, often has Hydroflasks.

And that’s part of the allure of the Stanley

I personally don’t use TikTok. I don’t want to lose IQ points.

The water bottle I use the most is plastic and was “free” on a bike trip. It’s larger than a normal biking water bottle, and I don’t like it for biking, but works great for pickleball, and it fits in the side of my pickleball bag.
I got a corkcicle sport water bottle from Athleta just recently, bc it was a nice color and on sale more than half off. I also have a S’well that I got from work, but I don’t care for the ones you have to twist the lid off to drink from.
I also have some brand from REI that I got bc it was perfect to hold an entire bottle of wine.
We probably have 6 plastic water bottles, from trips or bike stores, that we rotate through regularly.
I did finally donate/throw away several old bottles at some point.
My kids use either work logo, free, or non-name water bottles. I think my son has had the same plastic one I got from maybe GNC for less than 10 bucks for 5 years or more. (But he uses fancy bike water bottles).
My husband FINALLY started carrying a small amount of water in a bottle that has a “palm strap” when he runs in the summer.

We mainly take an empty container from a beverage we have consumed as our “water bottle” when we travel, fill it up past TSA and use as desired and keep for next trip or toss. We normally don’t use water bottles when we are at home, tho H sometimes does when he’s out in the yard a lot. I just drink 1-2 tall glasses of water at most meals and seem to be doing fine. I have access to drinkable drinking water at all times anyway, so getting water really has never been an issue.

We do buy water bottles sometimes on clearance from Costco or get them as gifts. We keep them in the cupboard until we have too many and then triage and donate.

LOL! You’re not doing it right if you drink so little alcohol that it dehydrates you.

We also have two of those little coolers. My spouse likes to collect sets of things, so we have wide variety of items in the vintage green Stanley thermos collection as well. This is also bad news because it reinforces the collecting obsession. I think I won’t mention it to my spouse!

You gotta get yourself a Yeti like this. It fits.
