Putting down kids with a 30 or 31 isn’t being mean, it’s being honest and realistic… A 30 on the ACT is an utterly pathetic score for ambitious students. How on earth are people satisfied with scores like that? I know people with a 30 CAN get into a top university but it’s EXTREMELY rare. They have some other things in their application that make them unique. For normal applicants, a 30 is an awful score. A 33 is the bare minimum, a 34 or above is what students should try to get.
