<p>I understand why kids/parents post chance me threads, but they are just ridiculous, in general, as are most of the responses. What isn’t ridiculous is a lot of the advice on CC. Almost no one is an ad com, but if you look hard enough and read enough posts you begin to get a sense of the folks who have really thought about college admissions and a lot of their advice is actually quite valuable. The chance me threads and the responses are some of the worst parts of this site.</p>
