First off, you have to understand that the CAT is only useful in getting into IIM. It’s not useful anywhere else. That’s a direct contrast with the GMAT, in which the GMAT can obviously be used for any B-schools in the US (and many overseas as well). The CAT can only be used for IIM, because IIM is the only schools that care about the CAT. CAT is a dedicated admissions test solely for IIM.
