Sounds like it’s not all cowboys and rodeos. I just bought, for fun, a denim long sleeve shirt for son and he refused to even try it on. All your suggestions remind me of Memphis. And yes, we do live someplace warm, New Orleans. Son does like to see snow once in a while, but I don’t think he’d like to stay somewhere cold 80 percent of the year. I hope we have a good visit and find a school he likes.

We are going soon, so thanks from me as well. I usually don’t like hoky tours, but as a TV Dallas fan ( old and new) Southfork Ranch may just have to be done.

Would love restaurant suggestions.

There is also a new museum of samurai art (apparantly the world’s only.) It is free and right above the Saint Ann restaurant, which has the largest patio in Dallas.

This Mexican place was good years ago.
[Joe T Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant - Fort Worth, TX](http://www.yelp.com/biz/joe-t-garcias-mexican-restaurant-fort-worth)

You should get some authentic BBQ but I don’t know where.

Joe T Garcia’s is a Ft. Worth institution. Not my favorite Mexican, but fun atmosphere. I believe that they still don’t take credit cards.

Loved Joe T’s. Went there when I was in Fort Worth for a seminar. Love the outdoor patio. Just two choices for food, and I do believe it was just cash. Looked like a fun place. On the cab ride over, saw people riding horses down the street. LOVED IT!

I think son would like that samurai art collection. Got to check that out.
