Dr G - I never need my password since I never log out! But then, I only have this one computer and it (MacBook Pro) has my high-frequency sites that I book mark.

Calla, no one will ever know you came to visit if you don’t post. Besides, look at the # of posts by some of us and you’ll see your 93 posts don’t look too bad.

I never log out either. The trick is when I’m at a strange computer for some reason and need to log in. Then, I can’t remember my password for the life of me.

I quit for a while. When I went to Costa Rica and then came back, I really didn’t post for almost a year (though came on occasionally to check things out). The Politics section pulled me back in.

I’ve been here since I was a sophomore in high school. I’m graduating college in a year. Hopefully on to graduate school (though I’m having a hell of a time finding programs I like). I really don’t see quitting in my near future lol.

Don’t feel bad for staying here after you kids have launched. Remember CC is not just filled with parents looking for answers, there are lots of parents who have been through it before giving advice too. If everyone left CC as soon as their need for info was over it would only be half the place it is now!

I like the people in CC, especially the parents forum & parents cafe. Rarely bother with the rest of it, since my kids are done and nearly done with college. Have gotten a lot of GREAT info here that I would have had a hard time gathering elsewhere. It helps get a “pulse” of what others think–especially helpful because I work out of my home & don’t have folks I work with every day. The folks here are “peers” in a sense, as we all value education and our kids & families. It is mostly a very supportive, articulate group here that tilts somewhat liberal and upper middle class and up, though other views are also expressed and represented to varying degrees.
