A big weakness in IPEDS is the highest income category is 110K (and its 110K and RECEIVING Title IV financial aid). The net cost impact at 125K over the past 10 years is very different than the net cost impact at 300K. It would be super helpful to see the category of net price for those not receiving federal financial aid.
I agree with everything that people are saying. The point of my initial post was to share data with known flaws applicable to a narrow range of families, but which I had not seen in one place.
I definitely don’t understand how Texas A&M hits that net cost of $5K. They don’t seem particularly more generous than other Texas publics.
